Are you interested in creating software for the global good? Are you in healthcare and would like to learn more about FHIR? Do you already work with OpenMRS, DHIS2, REDCap, CommCare or R/Rstudio and would like to know how to make it more interoperable?
The goal of this hackathon is to create better ways for these open-source systems to integrate with each other. While the focus will be on FHIR, it is not a strict requirement. And especially if you are working in a lower-resource setting, we want you!
Requirements
Software, apps, programs with a focus on Vaccines or on the Transforming of data.
If focusing on Vaccines, that can include (but not limited to) data capture, data registries, reporting, public health, recommendations and vaccine forecasting.
If focused on transforming data, the goal will be to find more efficient ways of moving information between the above systems, to allow for improved operability and better usage of data collected.
Must use or interface with one of the following systems: OpenMRS, DHIS2, FHIR, CommCare, REDCap, or R/Rstudio.
If using CommCare, REDCap or R/Rstudio, must use FHIR to connect to other open-source systems.
Minimal POC or minimal functionality is required (not solely designs, sorry!)
Some level of open-source availability of code.
